The Zia Singers are the cover story in this week's Pasatiempo and I get a lot of attention in the article—non-Santa Feans, this is the go-to events section of the Santa Fe New Mexican. During these eventful times I'm so happy to be part of an all-women choir performing a concert of songs by solely female composers (including me). "The Girl From Aleppo" and my "A Wave That Rocks Me" were both inspired by young women who endured incredible hardship but still prevailed. I love that we're sending out a message of hope and strength along with some beautiful music.
